Plain of Jars, Laos
One of the most mysterious sites in the archaeological world is the Plain of Jars which can be found in Laos. The interesting site is located on the Xieng Khouang Plateau and features a large collection of ancient stones which look like urns. The main site is called Plain of Jars but in reality this place is just one of over 90 of these archaeological sites. Without question this is one of the most important places to visit for anyone looking to discover Asia’s historical locations.
Hoi An, Vietnam
You will find a great many sites throughout Vietnam which are of great historical importance but without question one of the most important is Hoi An. This location was once a bustling port where merchants from all over Asia would arrive as well as traders from throughout Europe. These days the town looks largely unchanged from its past glory and as you wander through the historic streets and take in the fascinating architecture you can get a real glimpse into what this place would have been like back in the 16th Century.
